Ah Sisters!!

This treasure is especially for all the ‘big little girls’ without a daddy or those whose daddies abused or mistreated them. Ah, Sisters, that’s a tragedy. The bigger tragedy is that even after we come into Christ, many of us still struggle, unable to trust Abba, our heavenly Daddy, wholeheartedly. WHY? We have become so used to disappointments, excuses, betrayals and denials from our earthly fathers. We have become so used to fighting our battles and hatching our man-made schemes and defenses. We have become preoccupied with building menacing fortresses around our hearts, determined that no one will hurt us. Yet, we are wounded, frightened ‘big little’ girls behind those walls.

In Christ, we have received the Spirit of adoption, which allows us to call God Abba (Daddy). Oh, how He loves us so. His love can wash away our pain and invade our barricades. Little One, will you come? Yes, come---- with all of your burdens, cares, pain, and fears. Come into his outstretched arms and sit upon his knee. Tell him what ails you. Your Abba can make it better.

O precious Father! Thank you for your unconditional love. Forgive me for hiding and running from you. Forgive me for not trusting you. I recognize that this can only grieve your heart. Please, Lord, reveal your Father’s heart to me. Help me to put my hands in yours and never remove them ever again. I am your daughter. I am engraved on the palms of your hands.
